Sanitarium supports World Youth Day 08

World Youth Day is the largest youth event in the world and will be held in Sydney from Tuesday 15 to Sunday 20 July 2008. Organised by the Catholic Church, World Youth Day brings together young people from around the globe to celebrate and learn about their faith on a more regular basis. YD08 will be the largest event Australia has ever hosted. It will attract over 125,000 international visitors - more than the 2000 Olympics. Through the WYD08 experience, young people from throughout the world will make a pilgrimage in faith, meet, and experience the love of God. World Youth Day offers youth of the world to celebrate their faith.

Sanitarium has been awarded a contract by the organisers of WYD08 to supply and deliver all breakfast cereal products and cereal bars for the event. Under the commercial agreement Sanitarium is considered as an official food supplier for pilgrims. As an official provider Sanitarium is entitled to the rights and benefits of being involved in one of the largest youth events in the world. Our contract to supply foods provides Sanitarium with a financial benefit. It is not a “sponsored” event.

Sanitarium is pleased to be part of a positive youth event where youth are encouraged to celebrate and explore their faith. As a proudly Australian company we support and work alongside event organisers in their efforts to deliver an enjoyable and highly successful event that showcases the best of Australia to the world.
